I do not know how to play the violin, can I still sign up?
Yes! We teach all levels. You do not need prior knowledge to sign up for a lesson, as a music academy we exist to teach you how to play the violin. All you need is a violin, an internet device with camera/sound and Zoom.
We can teach all levels whether you are just starting out, intermediate or you are a musician who is curious about learning new generes and techniques.
I have purchased a package, how do I sign up for recurring lessons?
After purchasing a package, there are different options available for scheduling your lesson. The quickest way is to click the "Schedule" link next to your certificate code on the purchase confirmation page as soon as your payment goes through. The certificate code is also automatically sent to your email address; simply click the "Schedule" link and it will take you to the calendar.
You can choose to sign up for multiple or recurring lessons.
We recommend scheduling recurring lessons whenever possible, as this option will secure you the same time slot for 4 or 8 consecutive weeks. This lets you meet with Mapy on the same day, at the same time each week.
To set up recurring lessons, select your preferred start date and time slot on the calendar. On the drop down menu, select "Recurring...", if the date you selected is on a Wednesday, it will give you the option to select either Repeat "Every Wednesday", "Every Other Wednesday" and so on. This lets you select the recurrence that best fits your schedule. Depending on if you have a 4 or 8 week package, enter 4 or 8 in the "Times to repeat" section and finalize your selection by clicking "Add Recurring times".
To set up multiple lessons, select your preferred start date and time for your first lesson. On the drop down menu select "Add a time" which lets you select any available date for your second lesson. Repeat step for the amount of lessons purchased in your package.
I need to cancel or reschedule my lesson, what do I do?
We have limited availability, and many of our sessions sell out. For this reason, we respectfully request that you cancel at least 72 hours before your scheduled lesson. This will allow us to offer your spot to another student.
You may reschedule or cancel your lesson online, through the booking platform. Simply go to your appointment confirmation email and click change/cancel appointment to reschedule.
Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you cancel within 72 hours of your appointment, you may choose a new date for your lesson at a later time. If you do not cancel with at least 72 hour notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.
What happens if I'm late for my lesson?
In the event that you are late for your lesson, depending upon how late you arrive, your instruction will then determine if there is enough time remaining to complete a lesson. Regardless of the length of the lesson actually given, you will be charged for the “full” session.
